Pack up your troubles in an old kit bag.....!

I heard a wonderful saying recently that I have been replaying in my mind over and over again!

"If everyone threw their troubles in to a huge pile to be shared out , you would soon want to take your own back when you see the problems that others have!!!"

As minor annoyances and niggles have appeared, I have used a technique called "reframing" to diffuse the problem and to stop my imagination from making mountains out of molehills!

I read a sign that said "My barn has burnt down!.....but....now I can see the moon!"

  • Try to see a problem as an opportunity
  • Turn a weakness into a strength
  • Visualise what appears to be an impossibility into a distant possibility
  • See a distant possibility as a near possibility
  • Believe that unkindness is a lack of understanding
  • Look at the positives and gifts in every situation
  • Is this an opportunity to learn something about myself?
  • It could be worse.  Looking at the worse case scenarios.
  • Asking, will this matter in a week, month, year etc?
By putting a positive spin on a situation, it is possible to lessen the effects that the problem is having on your peace of mind.

Love and Blessings,
