I came across this article which I thought you may like to read. As this is the month of love, why don't we all prepare to be our very own Valentine's and treat ourselves romantically. Buy flowers, treat yourself to a love CD, have a pamper treat and be kind to yourself in word and deed. We do not need to rely on others to be romantic towards us. Of course, if they are....well thats a lovely bonus too!

Love Yourself Silly
Valentine's love for you
Can you do a better job at loving yourself? That might seem like a strange question, but we often don't think about the love we have for our self. Really think about this for a moment . . . can you love yourself more today than you did yesterday?

Can you allow this month of love to not only be about the people you love in your life, but also about loving you more? What would that look and feel like to love you a little more? Is it possible to love yourself silly?
Maybe you would spend more time alone and do something you really enjoy, maybe it would mean taking a nap on a Sunday afternoon or maybe it would be looking in the mirror and smiling at who you see.
Most people will say that they do love themselves, but then as they begin to think about how they treat their body - always pushing it and going, going, going to the point of exhaustion they start to question it. Would they push someone they love as much as they push themselves? Would the self-talk you have inside your mind feel like a loving conversation if you were to say it to someone you cared about?
As you go forth during this month of love Here is a letter written to your body that I often share with clients. It might be just what you need as a reminder this month to give yourself a little more love!
Dearest body of mine,
After careful thought and consideration, I hereby promise to:
- Honor you as the temple of my soul
- Offer you healthy foods and drinks
- Realize that you deserve to be healthy
- Overcome the addictions that hurt you
- Love and appreciate you for what you do
- Accept that I have the power to heal you
- Adorn you with nice, comfortable clothes and shoes
- Realize that laughter, play and rest help you feel good
- Exercise regularly and appropriately for my body type
- Accept you and be grateful for you just the way you are
- Listen to messages you are sending me when you are hurt or sick
- Understand that my unexpressed emotions and thoughts affect you
I love you my dearest body of mine!
Love and Blessings for a wonderful weekend!
